The 4-piece Grynder is the middle tier of the N.Y.A.G series, positioned between the simpler 3-piece Grynder (which has no pollen screen) and the more elaborate 5-piece Grynder (which adds a top storage compartment for whole nugs). The 4-piece is the model for users who want kief collection alongside the micro-rounded tooth system without the added bulk of the storage compartment lid. It is described as being just right for users who want a grinder that is neither too minimal nor too complex.

The top surface of the Stache 4-Piece Grynder lid is concave rather than flat, forming a small shallow bowl shape. This concave surface functions as a portable ashtray, giving users a surface to tap the ash from a joint or bowl without needing a separate ashtray. During a rolling session, it also provides a small resting surface for partially-filled cones or papers. The ashtray lid feature is a practical multipurpose addition that distinguishes the Stache Grynder from grinders with a flat or domed top.

Standard sharp-toothed grinders cut through herb with a shearing motion that strips plant material, including trichome-laden resin, from the herb surface and deposits it onto the grinder walls rather than keeping it in the ground output. The Stache micro-rounded teeth press and separate herb at its natural break points with less surface contact, which Stache states results in more trichomes remaining in the ground material and less being transferred to the grinder walls. The Tiny Grynder measures 39mm in diameter and 42mm tall — significantly more compact than the 4-Piece at 62mm by 64mm. The Tiny includes a top storage compartment lid but no pollen screen and no kief catcher. The 4-Piece has an ashtray-style concave lid, a pollen screen, and a kief collection chamber. Users who want kief collection in a full-size grinder choose the 4-Piece. Users who want maximum portability and a storage compartment without kief collection choose the Tiny.

The Stache Grynder 4-Piece is available in Black, Blue, Green, Purple, Red, and Silver. All colorways use the same aircraft-grade aluminum construction, micro-rounded teeth, ashtray lid, pollen screen, kief catcher, neodymium magnets, and smooth threading.
