Ground herb falls through drop-down holes in the grinding plate into the storage compartment. The finest particles, including trichomes and pollen, continue through the stainless steel screen into the bottom kief catcher. Over multiple sessions, a supply of concentrated kief builds up in the bottom chamber and can be collected with the included pollen scraper. The kief accumulated in a 4-piece grinder represents some of the most potent material available from each load of herb.

Remove the magnetic lid and place herb between the diamond-cut teeth, avoiding the center post. Replace the lid and rotate it back and forth or in a continuous circle for 5 to 10 rotations, or until resistance decreases, indicating the herb has been fully ground. Remove the lid and grinding plate to access the storage compartment where the ground herb has collected. Use the pollen scraper to collect any herb stuck on the edges or teeth. Over time, unscrew the bottom kief catcher to harvest accumulated pollen. Regrind any larger pieces that did not fall through the drop-down holes. Place the disassembled grinder components in a sealed freezer bag and freeze for 30 minutes to harden any sticky resin, making it easier to dislodge. Remove from the freezer and use a small brush to knock loose material from the teeth and screen. For a deeper clean, soak the aluminum components in isopropyl alcohol for 20 to 30 minutes, then brush away dissolved residue, rinse thoroughly with warm water, and dry completely before reassembling.
