Utillian 722 vs Arizer Solo 2 – Comparison Review

The Utillian 722 is one of the latest releases as a portable dry herb vape, and it has several upgrades over the previous generation 721. The Utillian 722 uses convection heating and is primarily famous for portability and open airflow. We will compare it with the Arizer Solo 2, recognized as the top-end Arizer device since its inception. The device is the original solo’s successor but has improved features such as an LED display, precise temperature control, and an all-glass vapor path. This update might seem minor to some, but the changes integrated into Solo 2 are pretty significant and make Solo 2 the most powerful dry herb vaporizer. So, let’s dive in and figure out which one of these comes out on top!

Design & Built

The Utillian 722 comes with a sprayed aluminium body that looks like a high-end vaporizer. The device has a square design, where the bottom of the device constitutes a battery and an air path, and the top has an oven that also covers the mouthpiece. The device’s outer shell is aluminium with a rubber coating that helps to contain the heat. The device also has a non-slip touch making it more desirable. Also, there is a Micro USB charging port at the bottom.

Utillian 722’s mouthpiece is on the top of the device and uses magnets to hold it. It can easily open up to expose the stainless steel chamber. The mouthpiece part of the device has an extension. You can fold it away when you are not using it. The mouthpiece also cools down the vapors when they travel inside the mouthpiece.

On the other hand, the Arizer Solo 2 has a digital screen with complete temperature control, customized settings, and a long borosilicate glass tube called an aroma tube. The glass tube is responsible for giving the user excellent vapor quality. The device’s body is made of stainless steel, highly durable, and features a large LED screen that allows users to display settings.

Moreover, the glass aroma tubes are not the sole reason behind the quality vapors of Solo 2. The other thing that adds to the quality is the entire vapor path that is made of glass. So why do you think it matters? When the vapor passes from the path, it picks up the flavor of its material. Since the glass is tasteless, the user only gets the herb’s flavor when the vapor passes through it.

In my humble opinion, Utillian 722 looks very stylish, but solo 2 looks better with its distin

Vapor Quality

The Utillian 722 excels in vapor quality as they improved the device from its predecessor by opening airflow and refining it.  The vapor produced is pure, flavorful, and better than the vapes in a similar price range. Also, 722 gives a fair fight for vapor quality and produces thick vapors, especially in high settings. The second and third settings of the device provide the perfect experience of flavor and vapors. Overall, the convection vapor is tasty, hits right, and gets the job done.

On the other hand, when the Arizer Solo 2 came out in 2017, it showed massive improvement in vapor quality and production from the original Solo. Solo 2 features a glass stem that holds the herbs at its bottom and is then inserted into the heating chamber. The glass does the job better as it retains the herb’s flavor and doesn’t let the glass dirty very often. So, the result is a flavored session. Additionally, the vapors cool down before reaching the mouth, which helps the user enjoy more enjoyable draws. Moreover, the draw resistance of Solo 2 is better than the previous version making it a better device.

Comparing against each other, 722 is provider thicker vapor and is free-flowing. However, the glass tube of Solo 2 is responsible for better flavor.

Battery Life and charging

The battery life of Utillian 722 is average and three times less than the Arizer Solo 2. However, you could get a power bank and use the use charging cable for more effortless charging. The Solo 2 comes with a 3-hour battery life on average, which means it supports eighteen sessions of ten minutes in one go. Moreover, The Arizer Solo 2 comes with a USB charger, and then you can also find the car charger compatible with it at Haze Smoke Shop.

Clearly, Arizer Solo 2 is a winner here; with better battery life and charging option, the device looks like the one you can travel with ease.

Temperature Settings

The Solo 2 has precise temperature control from 40 to 220C, which is easy to adjust. However, the optimal temperature stays between 180-220C with dry herbs.

In comparison, the Utillian 722 comes with four temperature settings 180°C, 190°C, 200°C, and 210°C giving you a wide range of vaporizer herbs. Moreover, the Boost Mode on 722 will push the device to a maximum temperature of 225°C. The highest temperature is used with extracts only. Overall, the precision control on the unit gives Solo 2 edge here!

Ease of Use

For Solo 2, you need to fill the end of glass tubes rather than the chamber, and then you place the glass tube with herbs in the heating chamber. The Solo 2 is straightforward as it comes with three buttons. The one in the center and an up, down button. The center and up button will turn on the device, while the up arrow will increase the heat settings. The device heats up quickly and comes with an LED screen allowing customization.

In comparison, the Utillian 722 has a one-button operation that is straightforward to operate. The device lacks precise temperature controls but comes with four temperature settings. You load the desired material into the chamber, and clicking only the button five times will turn on the device. The vape will start to heat up, and the LED light will start blinking. Two taps on the button will change the temperature settings. Moreover, the device activates the boost mode when the user holds the power button for more than a couple of seconds, and the device will heat up to maximum temperature. The Boost mode works well for the extracts or to finish off the session.

The device heats up in 40-60 seconds, which depends on the temperature settings.

In terms of ease of use, the Solo 2 is intuiting as it comes with tubes but offers a digital display for temperature settings. However, I think loading and unloading 722 is more straightforward.

Should you Buy Arizer Solo 2 or Utillian 722?

There is no denying that both devices are on top of the line. Both provide great vapors, excellent built, and are simple to use.

The Arizer Solo 2 has become the most powerful dry herb vaporizer, so if dry herbs are your thing, this device is the right choice for you. Also, the glass aroma tubes produce satisfying clouds and flavor. One thing to keep in mind is the fragility of the glass aroma tube, but at the same time, they are inexpensive and easy to replace. Moreover, the device allows users to have control over the device temperature along with a nice touch. So, overall, the Solo 2 would be the best choice if you want a great quality vapor with fantastic battery life.

On the other hand, the Utillian 722 is a successful vape at a reasonable price. The device has achieved everything it was trying to achieve- an outstanding vape at a fair price tag. It might not have all the top features like smartphone app compatibility or precise temperature control. Still, it has a crucial feature of exceptional vapor quality in a fair price tag.

If I have to choose one, I will go for Solo 2. The device provides comfortable clouds with precise temperature and a digital screen. But you can’t go wrong with the Utillian either. You can carry it anywhere. Its cheap and free-flowing airflow makes it worth buying.

You can pick either of these two portable vaporizers directly from the Haze Smoke Shop. In the end, I would say, if you know what you need, the choice between these two isn’t hard. You will get a premium product either way!
