Bought the PAX Flow three months ago as an upgrade from my PAX 3 and have used it almost every day since. Hybrid heating is the real headline, the bowl extracts evenly edge to center in a way my PAX 3 never did even with stirring halfway through. USB-C is long overdue and the 40 minute full charge means I top it up in the morning and forget about it. Side oven took about a week to feel natural but now loading from the side makes the bottom loading on my old device feel backwards. Battery gives me about 5 sessions in Flavor mode and closer to 4 in Boost mode, which covers most days but heavy users will need a mid-day charge. Shell gets warm by the end of a Boost session and I have started doing two bowls then setting it down for a few minutes before a third. Best PAX I have owned and the biggest step forward the brand has made in years.
PAX Flow flavor mode for the first bowl and efficiency mode for the second is the routine I settled into after a month of use. Covers everything I need without ever touching Boost or Bong mode.
PAX Flow packs loosely unlike the old PAX which needed a tight brick, took me a few sessions to unlearn my old habits. Once I figured that out the extraction went from decent to really good.
PAX Flow through a water pipe in Bong mode produces the thickest clouds I have gotten from anything this size.
Battery on the PAX Flow gets me 4 to 5 sessions on a charge in Boost mode, plan on a mid-day top-up if you are a heavy user.
