Both series share the same core hardware — 4-piece hardtop metal, 2.5-inch diameter, diamond-shaped teeth, magnetic lid, pollen sifting screen — but the Design Series with Side Art offers a more immersive visual experience because the design covers the entire exterior surface.

Diamond-shaped cutting teeth have four sharp edges meeting at a point, which provides multiple cutting surfaces per tooth. When herb is loaded between the grinding plates and the lid is rotated, the diamond teeth catch herb pieces from multiple angles simultaneously rather than relying on a single shearing edge. This multi-angle cutting geometry produces a more uniform particle size distribution across a single grind cycle, resulting in the fluffy, even-textured herb output that Pulsar describes as optimal for packing bowls, water pipes, and rolling joints. When cleaning the exterior, use a dry cloth to wipe the side art surfaces — avoid applying isopropyl alcohol or harsh solvents directly to the printed exterior artwork, as prolonged solvent exposure can degrade the finish. Dry all components completely before reassembly.

Unscrew the bottom base of the grinder to expose the pollen collection chamber floor. Use the included scrape tool to sweep accumulated kief from the chamber walls and floor into a small pile for collection. The flat profile of the scrape tool reaches close to the chamber surface for efficient retrieval without waste. For particularly stuck kief buildup, place the grinder in a freezer for 10 to 15 minutes before tapping it gently against a hard surface — the cold causes kief particles to contract and release from the screen and chamber walls more easily, and tapping dislodges them into the collection chamber.
