Overview and Build Features

It is made out of Aluminum alloy and it does not feel too heavy. It has two airflow holes, one on each side of the device. It has a nicely designed shape with curves along the sides for grip. This device does not have smooth built but it definitely has a solid grip. There are no sharp edges that could cut you but there is just a lot of texture when you are holding it. It has a Type-C port on the bottom. It has a power button and has the branding of Tenet below it. You are also able to disable this button. This device has an e-liquid window on both sides to let you see the amount of liquid in the pod. It’s a cool looking device with a futuristic design. It has an internal battery of 750 mAh.

Caliburn G2 Pod

This device comes with Caliburn G2 pod that holds 2ml of e-liquid. If you have used Caliburn devices, you would have probably seen these before. It is a top fill pod and has a little airflow control wheel at the base to adjust your airflow. You could spin it and customize the airflow, you can cut it down or open it up. This wheel allows you to adjust your draw from mouth to lung to direct lung. Keeping it half way closed is best for medium mouth to lung draw. The Caliburn G coil goes on the bottom.

G Series Coils

The coils provided in this kit are G series coils and the pod is a G series pod. The coil pre-installed is the 0.8 ohm rated for 13 – 18 watts. It is a vertical mesh coil. The extra coil is 1.2 ohm, rated for 9 – 13 watts. This coil works best if you like a slightly cooler vape. It is good for salts with higher milligrams i-e 20mg, 25mg or 50mg.

Filling the Pod – Priming the Coil

It is recommended to prime the fresh coil before use. Just put a couple of drops of your e-liquid down the top of coil before you install it. You can also prime it even after installing in the pod. In order to fill the pod, snap the mouthpiece over to expose the filling port. The port is covered with a red membrane, simply insert the nozzle of your e-liquid bottle inside the filling hole and fill. When the filling is done, let the pod sit for few minutes to fully saturate the cotton inside. If you are not able to prime the coil up at all, it is suggested to let it sit for at-least 5 to 7 minutes to avoid dry hits and burning the mesh inside the coil.

Haptic Feedback Feature

Put the mouthpiece back on and put the pod inside the device, it will vibrate slightly. This device has a great feature of haptic feedback i-e it vibrates when you put the pod in. Just press the pod and you will hear a click, letting you know that it is placed properly. The pod can go either way in the mod.

Turning the Device On – Draw Activation Mode

To turn the device on, press the fire button 5 times. It has a light indicator that will flash as the device turns on. This light also acts as your battery life indicator. If you want to disable the fire button and you want to use it only in draw activation mode, press the fire button 2 times. You will see the light blinking, indicating that the button is disabled but you will still be able to vape it with draw activation mode. This is a fantastic feature of this device. On a pod system like this, many users prefer draw activation mode.

Comparison with Caliburn X and G2

As far as the size comparison go with the Caliburn X, they are almost of same size. It does take the same coils but the X has a screen and holds more liquid. The Caliburn G2 and Tenet take the exact same pods. The Tenet is a little bit bigger just because of the design and Aluminum alloy. As far as weight goes they are not that much different. The G2 is a little lighter than Tenet but not that much different. Basically, the Tenet is not as heavy as it looks. It probably looks like a brick but it’s not, it’s a lot lighter than it looks.

Mouth to Lung Vaping – Vapor and Flavor

When the airflow is wide open you can get a pretty loose mouth to lung draw but the airflow control works really great on these pods. Once you close it down halfway, you get medium mouth to lung draw. The 0.8 ohm coils are the best when it comes to 12mg free base liquids. If you use higher nicotine, it is suggested to use the higher ohm coil i-e 1.2 ohm. There is also a 1-ohm coil in this line and you can select it according to your preference depending on how warm you like the vape to be. This is a pretty warm vape with the 0.8 ohms. The flavor is fantastic with comparatively more clouds.

Pros and Cons

It vapes just like the other G series coils which is going to be a pro because they are compatible. This device is not so much different from the Caliburn G2, the big thing is just the bodies look different. It has different styling, more of that steampunk styling, if you like the look of these then go for it because you are going to get that same vape quality from the Caliburn G2. But if you like the way the Caliburn G2 looks better, then just stick with that because you are going to get that same vape. They both use the same pods. The built quality of this device is great. USBC charging is obviously a pro. The device vibrates when you put the pod in. One of the huge pro of this device is that you can disable the fire button and still use it in auto draw mode. The one complaint that some people seem to have with the Caliburn G coils is that they get a little bit leaky sometimes.

Battery and Charging

Caliburn Tent comes with an internal battery of 750 mAh. It takes around 30 to 40 minutes to fully charge the device. One full charge can easily give you a full day of vaping if you are a moderate user.
